What Poseidon Does
Poseidon Fire Protection is a Port Coquitlam fire protection contractor that designs, installs, inspects and maintains the four systems a BC building is required to have: fire sprinklers, fire alarms, emergency lighting and backflow prevention.
Most buildings buy those four systems from four different companies, then discover at occupancy that nobody owns the gap between them: the sprinkler contractor does not test the backflow assembly on his own fire line, and the alarm contractor does not produce the verification report the building official is waiting on. Poseidon holds all four under one contract, so the turnover package arrives complete.
Founded in 2019 and led by its owner, the company works for the general contractors, developers, property managers and strata councils who build and hold property across Metro Vancouver, including Associa, Bosa Properties, FirstService and Marcon.

Since the launch in 2019, we strive to deliver fire protection services that are certified and meet industry standards, all while also approaching the industry differently.
Who We Serve
An occupancy is the use a building is classified under, and it determines which standard its fire protection system is designed to and how often that system must be inspected.
That classification is why a concrete high-rise, a wood-frame rental building, a distribution warehouse and a care home are four different engineering problems rather than one. We work across all of them.
